72 Hours in Steamboat Springs, Coloarado
Hello, and welcome to a new series highlighting 72 hours in destinations near and far. To start, let’s go close to home in Steamboat Springs! Here are a few of our favorite places to stay, things to see, and sips & bites.
STAY
For amenities and an easy stay, there are a couple of hotels we prefer in the area
Steamboat Grand
Sheraton Resort & Villas
The majority of clients however stay in a condo, townhouse, or home which offers more space, and a luxurious feel. We particularly love One Steamboat Place’s multi-bedroom units for location, amenities, and service.
Local gossip: supposedly, a well-known 5-star hotel brand is in discussions to come to town..!!
SEE
There’s so much to do in Steamboat all year round! But for winter, here’s a few favorites…
Relax at Strawberry Park Hot Springs
• Note: clothing optional (and adults only!) after dark!
• There’s also a shuttle offered which we’d recommend in bad weather or after dark.Head to Saddleback Ranch for an authentic evening sleigh ride, dinner, and music in the barn.
Venture up to Rabbit Ears Pass for snowmobiling or dog-sledding.
And of course… ski the slopes at Steamboat Ski Resort!
• The resort is nearing completion of its transformation, with a new gondola, 655 acres of new terrain, base revitalization, and more!
SIP
Harwig’s for a nice night out (and a great dirty martini!)
Backdoor Burger, the best burger and fries.
The Paramount, skip lunch on-mountain & ski down to the base for their grilled sandwiches!
Taco Cabo, great biscuits and breakfast burritos, plus a nice riverfront location.
Periodic Table, a bit further from town, but stylish ambiance & a fun menu.
